MANAGEMENT PAGE 9 — AGREEMENT & ONBOARDING

Clarity before commitment

A management relationship begins only after the selected artist and Input Record understand the terms, receive a private agreement, have the opportunity to obtain independent advice and sign the final document.

Private documentThe complete management agreement is not published or automatically issued online. It is prepared for a selected project after the collaboration proposal has been negotiated.

OUR AGREEMENT PRINCIPLES

A signature should confirm understanding — not create surprises

01

Project-specific terms
The agreement reflects the approved scope, working model and financial structure.

02

Plain explanations
Important rights, duties, costs and limitations are discussed before signing.

03

Time to review
Both parties receive an opportunity to ask questions and consider the complete document.

04

Independent advice
The artist may obtain independent legal, tax or business advice before accepting the terms.

05

No automatic acceptance
Submitting an application, attending an interview or receiving a proposal does not create representation.

WHAT THE PRIVATE AGREEMENT COVERS

The essential subjects are documented in one place

The final wording depends on the artist, project and working model. The categories below explain the subjects normally addressed without publishing confidential clauses or commercial terms.

01

Appointment & scope

The services included, excluded activities, territory and whether the relationship is exclusive or non-exclusive.

02

Term & renewal

Start date, initial period, any options or renewals, review points and conditions for extension.

03

Duties & authority

Responsibilities of Input Record and the artist, decision rights, approval limits and actions that require written authorization.

04

Compensation

The agreed fee, commission or revenue share, calculation base, exclusions, payment timing and applicable taxes.

05

Budgets & expenses

Spending limits, advance approval, reimbursable or recoupable costs and supporting records.

06

Accounting & reporting

Statements, invoices, records, payment process, access to information and any verification or audit rights.

07

Rights & information

Ownership, licences, name and image permissions, access to accounts, confidentiality, data and document handling.

08

Ending the relationship

Termination rights, notice, opportunity to correct a breach, transition duties and any clearly defined post-term compensation.

09

Conflicts & outside specialists

Multiple Input Record roles, disclosure of conflicts, delegation, subcontractors and approval of third-party professionals.

10

Legal framework

Representations, liability, dispute process, governing law, notices, amendments and electronic signatures.

AUTHORITY & BOUNDARIES

The manager’s power must be defined

A management agreement should explain what Input Record may coordinate or negotiate and what always remains subject to the artist’s approval.

  • The artist retains pre-existing and independently created music, recordings, name, image, logos, trademarks, websites, accounts and materials unless a separate signed instrument expressly provides otherwise.
  • Input Record may discuss or negotiate opportunities but cannot bind the artist without separate written authority. Signing, debt, claims, rights transfers, final masters, key hires, endorsements and spending above agreed limits require prior written approval.
  • Every account remains under its owner’s control. Access is limited to operational need, protected appropriately and removed promptly when that need ends.
  • Where Input Record acts as label, manager and service provider, each role and its compensation are identified separately.
  • No manager can guarantee streams, media coverage, bookings, awards or a recording deal.

SIGNATURE

Consent must be deliberate and recorded

The final agreement may be signed electronically or in writing. Every party receives a complete signed copy and the effective date is recorded.

The accepted collaboration proposal may be attached for context, but the signed agreement governs if the documents conflict.

Any change after signing must follow the amendment process stated in the agreement. Ordinary project emails or messages do not silently change the term, exclusivity, compensation, ownership or termination rules.

OFFICIAL ONBOARDING

After signature, the work becomes operational

Onboarding converts the agreement into responsibilities, access, deadlines and a shared working system.

01

Close the file

Deliver the signed agreement and schedules, then verify legal names, tax details, notices and authorized decision-makers.

02

Verify the project

Review rights, credits, prior agreements, specialists, conflicts, release calendar, priority project and approved assets.

03

Secure access

Document account ownership and provide only the access required for agreed work through secure sharing channels.

04

Approve the plan

Confirm the first 30-day priorities, milestones, responsibilities, deadlines, budget and expense-approval process.

05

Start the rhythm

Activate communication and reporting, address missing information and schedule the first formal progress review.

DOCUMENT & DATA CARE

Professional information is handled for a defined purpose

Application, evaluation, agreement and onboarding information is used to assess or manage the professional relationship. Access should be limited to the people who need it for the agreed work.

Sensitive documents should not be sent through public links. Input Record and the artist should agree on appropriate channels, permissions, retention and return or deletion of materials when the relationship ends.

A separate privacy notice may provide additional information about collection, use, protection, access and contact procedures.

THE COMPLETE MANAGEMENT PATHWAY

Selection creates an opportunity. Only a signed agreement creates management.

The private agreement is provided only after evaluation, interview, due diligence and acceptance of the collaboration proposal.
